Open Hieper, go to Contacts or the Year view, tap Add and pick Import calendar photo. You can take a new photo or choose one from your gallery.

How do I digitise my paper birthday calendar?+
Take a photo of one month of your paper birthday calendar, upload it in Hieper via Add contact, pick Import calendar photo, review the names and dates Hieper finds, and import in one tap. Repeat per month.
Does the calendar photo import work with handwritten names?+
Yes. Hieper reads printed and handwritten names, as long as they're reasonably legible. A photo taken straight on with good light gives the best results. You can correct anything Hieper is unsure about before importing.
Will Hieper add duplicate contacts if I already have the same person?+
No. Hieper recognises existing contacts by name and date and asks whether you want to update the existing contact, create a new one, or skip the row. No duplicate Sarahs in your list.
Is importing a calendar photo free?+
Calendar photo import is a Plus feature in beta. Hieper Plus is €19,99 per jaar or €2,99 per maand. The basics of Hieper, like the birthday calendar, wishlists and invitations, stay free.
What if I don't have a paper calendar but a list or a spreadsheet?+
That works too. For lists and spreadsheets, use Import contacts in Hieper. The photo feature is specifically for paper birthday calendars you'd rather not retype.
